第三届天津国际设计周活动将于2016年5月13日-18日在北宁文化创意中心举行。

本次设计周活动以“行住坐卧”（Walking Standing Sitting and Lying Down）主题，是对人类生活的所有样态进行象征化处理。将之理解为生活环境的4个侧面，即“行=城市生活”、“住=建筑”、“坐=家具”、“卧=死亡/自然”，并由此对环境进行思考。将“行住坐卧”用中国的思想方法加以诠释，并针对现代的城市、建筑、家具、自然进行思考。

2016天津国际设计周活动包括主题设计展览、创意设计论坛、国际设计竞赛、中意实验班以及中外企业经贸洽谈会在内的五大板块。主题设计展览：包括中外设计师、建筑师个人/企业作品展、获奖作品集萃、户外设计装置展、创意生活用品展、家居产品展等。创意设计论坛：论坛将邀请中国、日本、意大利等地知名设计师、评论人及政要就“行住坐卧”主题进行演讲和交流。国际设计竞赛：以“行住坐卧”为主题，以建筑、工业、平面设计为主要领域征集作品，并由黑川雅之、石大宇、宋涛三位国际设计大师担任评委，并在开幕式当天进行颁奖。最后，中意实验班：以城市的可持续发展为课题，组织中意两国著名高校的58名在校生共同参与。

The Tianjin International Design Week – 3rd edition takes place from 13 to 18 May 2016 at the Cultural Creative Center of Beining Park and at the Xiangsi Industrial Creativity Park in Tianjin.

The theme of the 2016 edition is Walking, Sitting, Standing, Lying Down / 行， 住， 坐，卧, the four basic conditions of the human element. Starting from these attitudes, the primary relationship between men and space will be explored. The idea of walking leads to man in the urban environment; standing is the way of inhabiting places and is at the basis of architecture; sitting always implies an object and therefore the idea of design; finally, laying means resting, meditating, and eventually reconnecting to nature. These four aspects represent the basis of traditional Chinese thinking and they will now be interpreted in the light of new lifestyles born in modern cities.

TDW 2016 consists in a series of exhibition from architects and designers working in Europe, Asia and America as well as in a Forum, an ideal space where voices of designers, artists and thinkers meet each other and the audience. As every year, an International Design Award is assigned to projects selected by an international jury among hundreds of participants. Finally, a workshop organized by Chinese and European universities will involve 58 students around the theme of sustainability in city renewal.
