未来就是现在

人类的眼光看得越远，就越可以从陌生的标记和形状中发现关于过去的元素、迹象和记忆。我们虽然尚未能窥得全豹，但可以凭直觉感受到：新世界和未来正等待着我们去探索。一根脆弱却坚不可摧的细线连接了历史，一头是历代先辈的文化、文明、知识、能力和传统，另一头是充满知识与创新的未来新世界。
技术越是创新，越是拓展新的界限，越是改变身边的自然风光、人文景色与我们的生活方式，我们就越能强烈地感受到，在这转变中蕴含着丰富的历史积淀。如今，一些知识、技术和手工业智慧已然式微或是改头换面，我们应当联系不同时代的文化，修复和复兴那些有意义的当代创新。
当我们畅谈未来，从农业谈至建筑业、工程学，从食物谈至手工业、设计、文化遗产的保存和城市的人口流动，这些内容不全是尚未实现的，也包括已经出现在我们生活中的部分，比如我们正在做的事、使用的东西和活动的空间。
我们身边的世界不仅是古老的，我们所熟知的世界也是变革的、未来性的。每当我们面对这样一个世界，我们只要学会观察和识别就够了。这正是——“未来即现在”。
The more our gaze goes further to scrutinize what is still not fully visible but at least perceptible about how the world will be in the near future the more clearly we can recognize, among the unfamiliar signs and shapes of the future, some elements, clues and memories which belong to the past. A thin but strong thread which links together previous generations’ culture and civilization, as well as their traditions and knowhow, with the knowledge and innovations of the decades to come.
Technology innovation is day after day transforming not only the landscape around us, but also our everyday habits and lifestyle. And into these ever-new frontiers we can discover more than a simple trace of the older generations. In fact, we can find that many of the significant innovations of our time result from the integration of classical techniques and ancient handicraft knowhowreinterpreted by means and methods of our century. It is in this revival of ancient techniques and in their contemporary reconstruction that we can trace the way in which different ages and distant cultures are connected to each other.
Agriculture, architecture, engineering, food, craft and design, as well as preservation of cultural heritage and urban mobility: everything around us ends up to be the symbol of the future, not only the future yet to come but also what there already is in our life, evident in everything we do, in the tools we use and in the space we move in.
We only need to be able to look at the outside world and recognize how revolutionary and futuristic the reality we already know can be. Therefore, the future is now.
