我非常重视色彩之间的关系,颜料或水乳 交融,或格不相入。在创作过程中,个人时 间的流逝常常带来新的方向,与色调变化 以及当初的想象截然不同。作品是我潜意 识的体现,但我希望颜料和画布可以独立 于我而存在。我认为这很符合东方的思维 方式。 尽管我们东亚的祖先们在现代艺术的曙光 中仅获得了有限的信息,但他们却努力学习 和效仿着欧洲艺术的广博知识、技术和哲 学,这是几百年欧洲艺术的积淀。同时,由 于当时的西方是多学科交汇的中心,因此, 毫不夸张地说,如果没有那些先驱们的不 懈努力,就不可能有我们今天在东方接受 的现代艺术教育。 绘画艺术即将进入一个崭新的阶段。为什 么我们能真切地看到真实存在的一切,那 是因为我们能直观地感知和捕捉光的反 射。就此而言,绘画与光的联系比其它任何 艺术形式都更加紧密。 自古以来,东亚艺术就有其独特的捕捉自 然的方法,能够将其展现在画布——一个正 方形平面上,当然,这也给艺术家们限定了 创作的物理空间。因此,人们不得不充分发 挥色彩的自主权,通过与光线有着紧密联 系的视网膜来探索艺术表达的可能性。正 是这种独特的东亚艺术特征,让我们现在 可以向世界艺术界展现我们在进行重建幻 象的创新尝试的同时,也在坚守着后现代 艺术学科。 我坚信,我们的艺术表达手段,有能力创造 出非凡的作品,它将传遍世界,传达我们来 自东方的声音。


How the paint colors drip, get mixed or splatter with each other seem to be the most important aspect of my paintings. In short, it all comes down to the correspondence of colors that is at the core of my works. It is often the case that the work itself would take its own course during the creative process in which it becomes something different from what I had originally envisioned. It strongly reflects my personal flow of time that induces changes in the tone, and perhaps, it is very close to what is thought to be something of the East as far as its conceptualism is concerned. In my works, I do hope that the colors or the canvas itself emerges with a distinct existence while depicting my subliminal consciousness.
Despite the limited amount of information available at the dawn of modern art, our East Asian forefathers tried to learn and replicate the vast knowledge, techniques and philosophies of European art that were accumulated over centuries. As the West was the center of diverse academic disciplines, it is fair to say that the modern art education we receive today in the East could not have been established without the untiring efforts of those forerunners.

Paintings are about to enter a new phase. Why we can literally see everything that exists is because we can visually sense and capture the reflections of light. To this regard, paintings are more closely linked to light than any other art form.

From ancient times, East Asian art has had its distinct approach to capturing nature onto the canvas, a square plane surface, which imposes an artist a physical limitation. Hence, one has had to explore the possibilities of artistic expression using the autonomy of colors and one’s retinas which intimately correspond with light. With such unique East Asian artistic traits, what we can present to the world art community now is our innovative attempt at reconstructing illusions, while adhering to post-modern art disciplines.

I am highly confident that our means of artistic expression, which has the capability to create something extraordinary, will spread around the globe, conveying our voices from the East.
