The ‘Città d’Italia’ exhibition continues the reflection
on the urban transformations of ourcities, started in 2015 thanks to the previous National Council with the Italian Provincial Orders, by comparingit with the ability of our professionals to relate themselves to these transformations.

The aim is to investigate the most strategic intervention arrangements for implementing the right urban policies for the future development of our territories.
We are experiencing a new season that calls for highly intelligent planning, to take us over the bridge that leads from the city of pollution to a greener, more inclusive and safer city. A new stage in urban living, for which future planning is a priority, where architecture and environment merge and the role of Architect isIndispensable.

The goal of the CNAPPC’s policy is to promote a new culture of local government that through proactive policies and not just land-based law enforcement, leverages existing heritage interventions in seeking a synthesis between Community and economical needs, in an integrated vision of urban design.

A vision that no longer focuses on endless expansion but on sustainable urban regeneration,
not only as the renewal of our built heritage, but also
on social renewal, on the contrast to the erosion of resources (water and soil), response to the effects caused by climate changes and therefore on the fundamental relationship between urban, environmental and social policies.

This is a central commitment of the CNAPPC policy, from which a new paradigm of the quality of urban
life has to sprout, so that the city is an increasingly desirable place where to live, work, learn and havefun; an inclusive place capable of “generating value” from its environmental, cultural, social and relational capitals, framed in a wider project of eco-friendly conversion and improvement of people’slives.

Every action of the Councilis intended to underscore the centrality and the responsibility of the architect in the process of transformation of the landscape, with a special focus on the principles of bio-architecture, energy efficiency and sustainable urban design.
